John’s love of history started at the age of five and has continued throughout his life. He has worked as assistant curator of collections for Southern Illinois University Museum and was a seasonal park ranger at Petersburg National Battlefield in Virginia. John's education includes speech communication, museum studies, preparation and presentation of interpretive programs and extensive study on America’s Civil War and the life of the common soldier.
John combines his talents as a singer and actor with a charming and pleasant manner capturing the interest and attention of both young and old alike. On the battlefield, you will not find a more knowledgeable, entertaining and unforgettable tour guide.
